Is this legal? Will Google break it?

Yes, it's completely legal — NoAI only modifies what you see in your own browser. Google changes its UI often, and when they do, we update. That's what the $3/mo Pro tier pays for: we maintain the selectors so your install keeps working.

Why not just use one of the free existing extensions?

If Google-only is enough for you, the free tier of NoAI covers it. Pro exists because every other AI intrusion — Gmail compose, LinkedIn rewrites, YouTube AI summaries, Meta AI entry points — needs its own detection logic, and nobody has bundled them into one maintained product yet.

Does this send my data anywhere?

No. NoAI runs entirely in your browser. We don't see your searches, your emails, or anything else. Your account (if you create one for Pro) stores only your email and preferences.

When is this launching?

Free tier (Chrome, Google coverage) ships May 2026. Pro features roll out over the following months. Early-access subscribers get Pro free for the first month.

Will this work on my phone?

On Chrome for Android, yes, at launch. iOS Safari support is a Pro feature shipping June 2026 (iOS limits extensions more than desktop).

Can I just wait for Google to add a setting?

You can. Google has explicitly declined to add a global AI opt-out. That could change, but as of April 2026 there is no official off switch.
